Awards will be made for innovations that represent a reduction to practice within the last five years (1 January 2011 - 31 December 2015) of a technology concept demonstrating a significant contribution to the efficiency or functionality of an automotive vehicle, to an automotive component/sub-system, or to the manufacturing process of the vehicle / component / sub-system.
